Pay homage to the 'Born Again' Justice League team from 1986, with this gallery-framed display, featuring a Justice League #1 Comic Book which has been Hand-Signed by the legendary Marvel Co-Founder, the late great Stan Lee, the creator of many Marvel characters as well as the Executive producer of all Marvel Movies.
The legendary Stan Lee, who received the National Medal of Arts in 2008, played an instrumental role in shaping the landscape of the pop culture world we all live in today. He will forever be remembered as one of the most important and influential artists in human history. He will be missed but never forgotten.
In 1986, after having learned their lesson, DC editors decided to take a risk and reboot the Justice League. “Born Again” (originally published in Justice League # 1, May 1987), introduces the new members of the League: the misogynistic Guy Gardner, the courageous Black Canary, the fearless Mister Miracle, the naïve Captain Marvel (who is constantly teased and mocked by Gardner), the brooding and melancholic Martian Manhunter, the lighthearted Blue Beetle, the inexperienced Doctor Light, the enigmatic Dr. Fate and the strict and imposing Batman (the only one in the League capable of intimidating Gardner). As a group, they’ve never worked together, and in the first meeting it’s evident that they’re not friends, and that there are more differences between them than things in common.
"Wanna Make Somethin' Of It?"- Guy Gardner
"There's a lot we have to learn -- about each other and about ourselves -- before we can present ourselves to the public in any major fashion."
The famous Justice League #1 cover from May 1987 sported the team with a family picture sort of cover, with some very suspect looking participants and featuring Shazam. One member however stole the cover with the now famous “Wanna make somethin of it??” Guy Gardner, a relatively lesser known member of the illustrious and complicated Green Lantern Corp filled out the roster. It was apparent that Gardner was bringing the “Attitude” to its ranks. One look at Batman’s face knows this team is already in trouble.
