This custom museum display showcases an Authentic Faience Glazed Pottery Egyptian Warrior goddess Sekhmet statue dating from the Ptolemaic Period 332–30 B.C. This ancient Egyptian tomb statue features a beautifully carved Sekhmet statue, depicted here as a human with a lion head, with a long tripartite wig and broad collar necklace. In her right hand is The sekhem sceptre - A powerful staff serving gods, kings and high officials.

Sekhmet was associated with destruction. According to myth, she was the fiery eye of Ra, which he sent against his enemies - As the cobra on the brow of the king, rearing to protect him. Her name means 'she who is powerful'. She is commonly represented as a lioness-headed woman because the Egyptians observed that it is the female lion who is the hunter.

At her feet is a babboon, representing the god Happy, one of the Four Sons Of Horus. The Sons Of Horus Were Also The Gods Of The Cardinal Compass Points (Each God Was Responsible For Protecting A Particular Organ During The Mummification Process). The Baboon-Headed God Representing The North, protected the Lungs.

It's protected under plexiglass in a custom museum display to keep it looking pristine, ensuring protection of your investment while allowing you to fully appreciate this piece of collectible ancient history.
